The 18th Annual Sports Day of Sairam Matric Hr. Sec. School, Thiruthuraipoondi was celebrated with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit on Saturday, 7th February 2026 at 7.30 a.m. in the school campus.
The event was presided over by Mr. G. Ravi, M.Sc., M.Phil., Assistant Commissioner (Excise), Thiruvarur.
The prizes were distributed by:
Dr. S. Mohamed Marzuk, M.S (Gen. Surg), Assistant Surgeon, Govt.
Headquarters Hospital, Vedaranyam Mr. D. Devendiran, M.A., Divisional Sales Manager, SBI Life,Thiruthuraipoondi Division.
The celebration began with a grand march past by the four houses, followed by various track and field events. Students showcased excellent teamwork,
discipline and sportsmanship. The event inspired young minds to develop leadership qualities, confidence and physical fitness.
Winners were honoured with trophies and medals for their outstanding performances.
The Management, Principal, Staff and Students expressed their gratitude to the chief guests for gracing the occasion and encouraging the students.
The day concluded successfully with cheers, applause and memorable moments.
