Overview

Sairam Matriculation Higher Secondary School has been established on 13th of June 2008 with the aim of providing quality education to the younger generation in the Semi – Urban areas of Thiruthuraipoondi. The school is situated next to the Thiruthuraipoondi, Bus (stand) Terminus on the Thiruvarur to the Thiruthuraipoondi Main Road.

The school is started with Pre Kg, LKG, UKG and standards I to VIII. This will be followed by the addition of one higher class every subsequent year. This school is now upgraded to Higher secondary during the academic year (2011 – 12). It has now classes from KG to XII std..

The school is managed by Leo Muthu Educational Trust which is headed by renowned educationalist and industrialist MJF. Ln. Leo.Muthu. He is a doyen in the field of education with more than two decades of rich experience and he is the Chairman; Sai Ram Group of Educational, Institutions, Chennai.

The school is started with 388 students with the blessings of the holiness Shirdi Sai Baba with the aim of imparting quality education with amalgamation of skill, discipline and social responsibility. It received overwhelming response from the parents of Thiruthuraipoondi and the surrounding areas. At present 1216 students have been studying in this school.

To make the student globally competent Robotics is being taught as a subject from VI to IX standard students. In addition to that the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of UNO and the Leader in me program have been included and indoctrinated along with the curriculum. This school has acquired the characteristics of being best in providing the quality education in Thiruvarur District. 

In an endeavour to imbibe and develop scientific temper among students our school proudly established Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) under the aegis of Atal Innovation Mission. School Innovation Council (SIC) is established with the Innovation Cell by The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India on Aug 23. 

All KG Sections are equipped with Smart TV with Internet facility. It has audio visual rooms, spacious and well – ventilated Classrooms, well-equipped Laboratories and Computer Facilities for the students to enhance their effective learning. With the objective of nurturing the sport talent among our school students, the extracurricular activities such as Physical Education, Karate, Silambam and Yoga occupies a prominent place in the school curriculum.

The management provides convenient and safe bus facilities for our young boys and girls through efficient maid servants with individual care and attention on each and every student. The management has employed only experienced and trained teachers who are devoted to their professions. The medium of instruction has been given in English. Tamil & Hindi are compulsory subjects from I to VIII standard. The Hindi Prachar Sabha Examination is conducted to strengthen the Linguistic knowledge of Hindi.
